Madeleine Wilson, Starter Company Plus Program Coordinator

As Starter Company Plus Program Coordinator, Madeleine oversees Starter Plus (an entrepreneurship program created and funded by the Government of Ontario). This program is for people age 18 and up looking to launch or expand their own small businesses in Peterborough & the Kawarthas. She collaborates with other members of the Business Advisory Centre team (PED's Business Advisory Centre is one of 57 Small Business Enterprise Centres in the Province of Ontario). Madeleine returned to Peterborough after completing her undergraduate degree at Queens University, and completed a Advanced Diploma in Marketing at Fleming College and has worked locally for both the Canadian Canoe Museum and Shimano Canada. Madeleine enjoys how accessible Peterborough is to the natural surroundings. She loves being outdoors - nordic skiing, hiking, paddling and likes that Peterborough offers a place that in 15 minutes she can be out hiking a trail with her two dogs or paddling down a river.
